This privacy policy outlines what information we collect, how we secure it, and how we use it in relation to the service Thanksgiving Ranch provides to its customers.

WHO WE ARE

Thanksgiving Ranch  (“TR” “we” “our”) is a working Guest Ranch that provides luxury accommodation for guests and unique, western experiences. We offer this privacy policy (the “Policy”) because we take your privacy seriously. This Policy outlines our privacy practices with respect to Thanksgiving Ranch as well as our corporate website at https://thanksgivingranch.ca/(the “Website”) as well as the types of information we collect from our guests (our “Guests”).

We continuously improve our privacy safeguards in order to help protect information about your browsing activities.

PERSONAL INFORMATION AND IDENTIFIABLE DATA COLLECTED BY THANKSGIVING RANCH

Thanksgiving Ranch collects personal information in the course of our business as well as information provided by Google Cookies and Facebook Pixel. Thanksgiving Ranch collects personal information (“PI”) when you choose to provide it to us. PI is any information that specifically identifies or locates a particular person or entity. We receive and store any PI you provide to us. The types of PI collected may include your name, names of people traveling with you, ages of family members, special considerations you’d like us to make for your comfort or the comfort of people traveling with you (such as dietary restrictions), activities you will be partaking in while at the Ranch, dates of your stay, postal address, telephone number, and email address. For example, you may choose to send PI about yourself in an email, by completing an online form on our Website, or by signing up for our service or e-newsletter. Thanksgiving Ranch uses this information for our reasonable business purposes, including to contact you to respond to your inquiry or to provide the service requested.

We do not share your personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of TR unless we specifically ask for your permission (ie. tour operators we book experiences through).

PRIVACY PRACTICES FOR OUR WEBSITE

Thanksgiving Ranch collects PI from our Website when you choose to provide it to us. For example, you may choose to send PII about yourself in an email, or by completing a form on the Website. Thanksgiving Ranch uses this information only to contact you to respond to your inquiry. Once collected, Thanksgiving Ranch will store your PI for a reasonable time for record-keeping purposes.

POTENTIALLY SENSITIVE INFORMATION PERTAINING TO CHILDREN & HEALTH CONDITIONS

Thanksgiving Ranch does not intentionally or knowingly collect information from children under 16 years of age and does not tailor any segments to children under 16 years of age.

We do not collect any information regarding specific health conditions that we consider sensitive. Thanksgiving Ranch may also utilize health-related targeting data segments provided by third-party data companies but don’t consider any of those segments to be sensitive. We don’t currently use such third-party data when serving ads to EU data subjects.

SECURITY

Thanksgiving Ranch takes reasonable measures to help protect the information we collect from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. This includes but is not limited to the use of firewalls and encryption. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure; therefore, while the company strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, it cannot guarantee absolute security.

ACCESSING, CHANGING, REMOVING INFORMATION

If you believe we have PI about you (e.g. because you’re a current or former Guest, or you provided PI to receive TR e-newsletters) and you would like to change, suppress or otherwise limit our use of that PI, you may contact us by sending an email containing your request to info@thanksgivingranch.ca. For your protection, we will only implement such requests with respect to the PI associated with the particular email address that you use to send us your request, and we may need to verify your identity and/or obtain more information from you before implementing your request.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. We always indicate the date the last changes were published and we offer access to archived versions for your review. If changes are significant, we’ll provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of Privacy Policy changes).
